He helped create thriving Jewish communities on the Mount of Olives, fought to protect the ancient cemetery there from desecration, and worked to save the neighborhood of Nof Tzion from foreign takeover. His organization, the Israel Land Fund hired top city planners and architects to envision and plan out Jerusalem for the next 40 years. Arieh has garnered the partnership of mega-philanthropist Irving Moskowitz, high-tech mogul Kevin Bermeister, oil magnate Guma Aguiar, and others, to initiate reclamation and building projects in Jerusalem worth hundreds of millions. Leading up to the elections Arieh King has brought together representatives from all the outlying neighborhoods - grass-root activists and high-caliber experts with practical plans for establishing safe public areas, creating affordable housing, encouraging tourism, cleaning up the trash, and promoting Jewish culture in the city. Arieh King and the Outlying Neighborhoods list will fight for the integrity of Jerusalem.
