Israel Council on Foreign Relations/Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs The ICFR is a non-partisan forum for the study and debate of foreign policy and aspires to stimulate As such, it accommodates a broad range of viewpoints.

The Israel Council on Foreign Relations (ICFR) is a strictly non-partisan forum for the study and debate of foreign policy. Established in 1989 by the late Dr. David Kimche and a group of prominent practitioners and scholars of international affairs, the Council is a favored platform for distinguished foreign visitors who wish to present their views in a non-governmental setting. The Council, which functions under the auspices of the World Jewish Congress, aspires to stimulate public awareness of world events and insightful discussion of foreign policy issues, particularly regarding Israel, the Middle East, and Jewish affairs. A wide cross section of Israeli society, including government officials, Israeli and foreign diplomats, university professors, leading business people, journalists, and promising students, participates in the activities of the Council. The ICFR also publishes the thrice annual Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs.

*Religion & State: What are Israelis Voting About?*

Ahead of the Israeli elections scheduled for October 27, 2026, _Konrad Adenauer Stiftung_ (KAS) and _Israel Council of Foreign Relations_, in cooperation with the _Israel Press Club_, are proud to invite you to a series of webinars focusing on a key aspect of the coming election.

Our panellists in the session are *Rabbi Yehoshua Pfeffer* a community Rabbi in Jerusalem, the head of Iyun Institute for Haredi Responsibility, and chairman of Netzach Yehudah, an organization supporting Haredi soldiers in the IDF. He also teaches at Hebrew University's Law School, having previously clerked on Israel's Supreme Court, and *Professor Dan Ben-David* , economics professor emeritus at Tel Aviv University and the founder and president of the Shoresh Institution for Socioeconomic Research.

The briefings are moderated by Kan 11 Foreign Affairs correspondent *Moav Vardi*.
