If you like Hunter Thompson and Jack Kerouac, if you like gonzo and the true spirit of being on the road, nothing: has got something for you this Thursday. “The last trucks of Abyssinia” - two weeks of hitchhiking through Ethiopia, a beautiful and ominous land for a white man — the so-called “forenja.” People with cloths and sticks among rocks, people with machine guns in the forests, people with white headscarves in Christian towns, strange chants, and a lot of trucks. Skyrocketed fuel prices, the first presidential elections since the end of the last civil war are coming soon and two guys - Kolya and Dina - trying to get to the airport.

10.09 PREMIERE NIGHT of “THE LAST TRUCKS OF ABYSSINIA”

An arthouse documentary about Kolya’s sixth and Dina’s first trip to the African continent, which happened this June. Two weeks of hitchhiking through Ethiopia, a beautiful and ominous land for a white man—the so-called “forenja.” People with cloths and sticks among rocks, people with machine guns in the forests, people with white headscarves in Christian towns, strange chants, and a lot of trucks. Fuel prices has skyrocketed, the first presidential elections since the end of the last civil war are coming soon, which will inevitably trigger another, getting cash is becoming harder, but we must get to a city that has a synagogue and an airport.

We’re announcing our third summer swap—a get-together where you can exchange clothes, shoes, household items, hobbies, and books!

This evening, you can:

— pick something up;
— bring items in good condition and let them go;
— have your fortune told with junk runes;
— play Rummikub;
— drink w**e (bring your own!), listen to music, smoke or not, and speak any language.
If the artifacts don’t find a new owner, we’ll donate them to a charity (please don’t bring heavy bags of everything for this purpose; our resources are limited, and organizations don’t need everything).
