השבוע צוות הספרייה רוצה להמליץ לכם על Connected Papers, כלי ה AI שיכול לשפר לכם את תהליך סקירת הספרות המחקרית ולסייע לכם למצוא מאמרים רלוונטים בקלות.

בעזרת כלי זה, ניתן לחפש שם של מאמר, ולגלות מאמרים קשורים ומשפיעים בתחום המחקר שלו באמצעות מפת קשרים חזותית ואינטואיטיבית. הכלי מאפשר לזהות מחקרים מרכזיים, לעקוב אחר התפתחות רעיונות לאורך השנים, למצוא עבודות דומות שאולי לא היו מופיעות בחיפוש רגיל, ולהרחיב את בסיס המקורות למחקר בצורה יעילה ומהירה יותר.

Using this tool, you can search for a specific paper and explore related and influential publications in its research field through an intuitive visual network map. Connected Papers helps you identify key studies, trace the development of ideas over time, discover relevant works that may not appear in a standard database search, and expand your sources more efficiently.

אנחנו מזמינים אתכם להגיע לפינת הקריאה החדשה שלנו בספרייה, ולקחת ספר שמעניין אתכם במתנה!

אתם מוזמנים גם להעשיר את המדף ולהביא ספרי קריאה מהבית (פרוזה בלבד: רומנים, מתח, מד”ב, פנטזיה וכו’) במצב טוב, שיצאו לאור בעשור האחרון.

בבקשה לא להביא ספרי עיון, מילונים, אנציקלופדיות או ספרי ילדים ונוער.

We also invite you to bring by reading books that you no longer need (novels, sci-fi etc.) that were published within the last decade.

In honor of the annual Book Week, “returning story” (סיפור חוזר) book stalls will be coming to campus on Tuesday morning, 16/06.

The stalls will be set up next to the library. You are invited to come and explore a wide selection of books available for sale.

בשבוע שעבר חלק מהצוות השתתף בכנס “חפץ שאין לו הופכין: הספר הפיזי בימינו” בספרייה הלאומית בירושלים.

נחשפנו לשיטות שימור ספרים במעבדה הפורנזית, ולמדנו על נתונים מעניינים בנוגע לקריאת ספרים בימינו, ועל הקריאה המשתנה בעולם הדיגיטלי.

נמשיך לחקור ולגלות את החידושים בעולם הספריות כדי להעניק לכם את השירותים הטובים ביותר.

Last week, our team attended the conference “An Irreplaceable Object: The Physical Book in Our Time” at the National Library of Israel in Jerusalem.

We were introduced to book preservation methods used in the forensic laboratory and learned fascinating insights about today’s reading habits, as well as how reading is evolving in the digital age.

Our mission is to stay at the forefront of library innovation, ensuring you receive the best possible service.

שמחנו לארח את הסופרת והמשוררת צילה דגון במפגש מועדון הקריאה שהתקיים ביום שני האחרון בספרייה.

במפגש נחשפנו לחלק מהספרים שכתבה, למדנו על מאחורי הקלעים של תהליך הכתיבה, וזכינו לקרוא את ספרה החדש “גם דגים חולמים”.

לאחר חיפוש מאמרים וכניסה למאמר ספציפי, ניתן להשתמש ב AI כדי לשאול שאלות בנוגע לאותו מאמר, לבקש סיכום של המאמר ולבצע עוד פעולות נוספות.

בעזרת הפיצ’ר הזה אנחנו יכולים להבין ולסכם מאמרים במהירות ולבחון האם הם מתאימים להמשך העבודה שלנו.

The library would like to recommend the AI feature in ProQuest.

After searching for an article and clicking on one, AI Research Assistant can be used to to ask questions regarding that article, summarise it, and perform other actions.

Using this feature, we can understand and summarise articles quickly, and determine if they are relevant for our current assignment.

You are welcome to contact the library for questions and further assistance.
