Making History and Building for Ariel’s Future! 🏗️💧
Ariel continues to make history while preparing for the city’s significant population growth - connecting the capital of Samaria to Israel’s national infrastructure network.
Last week, we signed a historic and unprecedented agreement together with Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen: connecting the city of Ariel to Shafdan, Israel’s largest wastewater treatment facility.
This major strategic step will create a direct national infrastructure connection between Ariel and the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area, protect the environment and water resources, and lay the foundation for population growth, the expansion of industrial areas, and the development of 12,000 new housing units across the city.
Mayor Yair Chetboun:
"Settlement is built with spirit - but that spirit must be translated into infrastructure. Today, we are erasing the Green Line and connecting Ariel, the heart of Samaria, to the heart of Israel. This project is part of our infrastructure planning for the city’s growth over the coming decade."
Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen:
"Developing water, energy, and wastewater infrastructure at the national level is key to strengthening settlement and the economy. Connecting Ariel - a strategic asset to the State of Israel - to Shafdan ensures strong infrastructure continuity, providing solutions for industry, businesses, and accelerated construction, while securing the continued prosperity of the entire region."

ממשיכים לבנות את העתיד של אריאל 🏗️💧
אריאל ממשיכה להתפתח ולהיערך לגידול המשמעותי הצפוי באוכלוסיית העיר, תוך חיבור בירת השומרון למערך התשתיות הלאומי.
בשבוע שעבר חתמנו יחד עם שר האנרגיה והתשתיות, אלי כהן, על הסכם היסטורי לחיבור העיר אריאל למכון טיהור השפכים הגדול בישראל - השפד"ן.
מדובר במהלך תשתיתי משמעותי, שייצור חיבור ישיר בין אריאל למערכת התשתיות הלאומית, יסייע בשמירה על הסביבה ועל מקורות המים, ויאפשר את המשך התפתחות העיר - לרבות גידול באוכלוסייה, הרחבת אזורי התעשייה והקמת 12,000 יחידות דיור חדשות.

״ההתיישבות נבנית מתוך רוח וחזון, אך כדי לממש אותם נדרשת תשתית מתאימה. החיבור לשפד"ן הוא צעד משמעותי בחיזוק התשתיות של אריאל ובהיערכות לצמיחת העיר בעשור הקרוב.״
שר האנרגיה והתשתיות, אלי כהן:
״פיתוח תשתיות מים, אנרגיה וביוב ברמה הלאומית הוא מרכיב מרכזי בחיזוק ההתיישבות והכלכלה. חיבור אריאל, עיר בעלת חשיבות אסטרטגית למדינת ישראל, לשפד"ן ייצור רצף תשתיתי משמעותי וייתן מענה לצורכי התעשייה, העסקים והבנייה המתפתחת באזור.״
