The transformation of Westport Estate has officially begun.

As we begin this exciting new chapter, The Grace, Westport Adventure, Gracy’s Pizzeria, Bar & Bistro, and our Caravan, Camping & Glamping Village all remain open as usual. Winter Wonderland will also return this Christmas with a reimagined experience for 2026.

This landmark €65.5 million redevelopment will create one of Ireland’s leading heritage and visitor destinations, celebrating our rich history while creating exceptional new experiences for generations to come.

As work progresses, there will be temporary changes to access across parts of the Estate from Tuesday, 4th August. Please note that Westport House will be closed to visitors while the transformation takes place. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

To keep our local community informed, we will be hosting Drop-In afternoons every Tuesday throughout August from 2.00pm to 4.00pm ay Church Lane, Westport (F28 A9C4).

A significant occasion for Mayo as Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney returned to his ancestral home county.

Westport Estate was honoured to welcome the Prime Minister to Westport House, where he was greeted by President Catherine Connolly on the front steps ahead of their official meeting.

The visit reflected the longstanding ties between Mayo and Canada, and the deep personal connection he shares with the West of Ireland.
