Today marks the anniversary of September 11, 2001 โ€” the day the world stood still, and a day we will never forget.

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who tragically lost their lives on that dark day. We remember the 2,996 souls who never returned home, their families and loved ones, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of 9/11.

We remember the courage and selflessness of the emergency service members and first responders who risked everything to save others, including the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

To all those who lost someone, to those who survived, and to everyone who continues to carry the physical and emotional effects of that tragic day โ€” our thoughts and prayers are with you.

May we always remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the countless acts of courage and compassion shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We will never forget.
