There was great fun in Tubbercurry Community Library yesterday as we welcomed author Sadhbh Devlin for a fun and interactive bilingual workshop! 😊

Sadhbh was joined by 1st & 2nd class from Moylough NS. The children got to hear Sadhbh read from a book she translated into Irish - Gruaig Áine by Eoin Colfer 📖

They then did some drawings, re-imagining hairstyles for the character of Áine! 🎨

Go raibh maith agat to Sadhbh for the excellent workshop, and to the children & teachers for attending and participating. This workshop was part of our events for Children's Book Festival, which runs throughout October 📚

We were delighted to be joined by conductor and music educator Ciara Murphy today in Tubbercurry Community Library ☺️

To celebrate Maths Week Ireland, Ciara facilitated a maths and music workshop with 3rd-6th class students from Castlerock NS 🧮

Participants learned about patterns, sequences and fractions through walking to beats and clapping out rhythms 🎶

Thank you so much to Ciara for the enjoyable and educational workshop, and to all the children and their teachers for coming along and participating!
