I am marking the anniversary of a significant life
milestone today. I was appointed as a Peace Commissioner by the then Minister of Justice of Ireland, Dermot Ahern TD, on the 10th July 2009.

I would be happy to assist you if you require the services of a Peace Commissioner. Please feel free to contact me.

Huge congratulations to Trim for winning the "Ireland's Best Kept Large Town" award at the 2026 Ireland's Best Kept Towns competition in Belfast today! It is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved, especially the dedicated team of people with Trim Tidy Towns

This success brings back some wonderful local memories. Looking back, it’s incredible to think that 54 years have passed since Trim first achieved national glory in the Tidy Towns competition back in 1972.

I am delighted to share this "throwback" footage from that historic year. It was captured by my late father, Teddy Reilly, and it’s a lovely piece of our local history. You’ll see the late Labour Party TD, James Tully, presenting the award, and a brief appearance by my father at the end of the video.

It is heartening to see that the spirit of community pride in Trim remains just as strong today as it was all those years ago. Well done to everyone who continues to make our town so special!

Congratulations Trim 🏆

Very grateful to receive this today. Recognition isn’t why I volunteer. I believe it’s always nice to give something back. It’s heartening when your contribution to the community is acknowledged. I’m happy to give back through my role as a Peace Commissioner. Thank you.
