BUMBLEance is the difference that transforms a sick child’s journey. We exist to empower the hundreds of families unable to access their child’s medical care by providing nationwide transfers in a safe, caring and fun environment, completely free of charge. The difference we create is that we turn miles into smiles, allowing sick children to be children. BUMBLEance provides lifechanging journeys, allowing access to lifesaving care for hundreds of children each year. Last year, we looked after the journey and allowed parents to take a back seat 2,000 times. Our specially-designed interiors that offer entertainment, activities, environmental support and emotional comfort, enabled us to transform over half a million kilometres of journeys, reaching every county in Ireland. At BUMBLEance, our heroes wear seatbelts – not capes. Our dedicated drivers operate a fleet stationed across the country, ensuring personalised, localised support to each family that travels with us. Each vehicle offers a break from the outside world with sensory lighting, child-friendly decor, entertainment and seats for parents and siblings. By offering these door-to-door journeys free of charge, we reduce the worry and anxiety parents carry. With BUMBLEance, we support the whole family and take away the worries of parking, tolls and comfort, letting parents focus on what they do best: care for their child. Jack’s Mam shared, “Having a service like BUMBLEance available takes one significant worry away. It means that attending essential medical appointments does not always have to involve both parents taking time off work, additional financial strain or the stress of trying to arrange suitable transport.

It also means that Jack's journey to hospital can be a positive experience rather than another stressful part of his medical care. For a little boy who has already spent so much of his life attending hospitals, that means more than words can express”.

We are blown away by the incredible response from salons as Blowdry for BUMBLEance returns for its fourth year!

This year, we want to make it our biggest year yet to raise vital funds and awareness for BUMBLEance’s life-changing services.

September was a busy month at BUMBLEance ✨

Our team travelled the length and breadth of the country for vital trips to healthcare, regional transfers, and exciting fundraisers. From the Supercar Weekend at Dundrum Town Centre, to Driver Ray’s weekend trips at Laura Lynn, from Limerick to St Patrick’s Cathedral, and of course, stopping by to say hi to our friends at Dublin Fire Brigade!

In September, BUMBLEance delivered 186 trips to healthcare 🐝🚑

September was our busiest month since May with our unfulfilled trip requests decreasing by 31%. However, there was still 28 important trips that went incomplete.

For the second time this year, Donegal was our busiest county, closely followed by Westmeath and Cork.

We need your continued support, month after month, to help ensure that we can go the distance for Ireland’s youngest patients.

Last week Matthew travelled with BUMBLEance 🐝🚑

Matt joined his Mam, Driver Jimmy, and Buzz onboard the newly renovated BUMBLEance #1 for his trip to Temple Street.

BUMBLEance is Ireland’s only dedicated Children’s Ambulance Service.
