Tallaght Library was absolutely delighted to host a collection of children's books from and about Palestine, in a collaborative initiative led by IBBY UK to honour the voices and cultural heritage of the Palestinian people through children's literature. The books purchased were funded by IBBY.

The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is a non-profit organisation which represents an international network of people from all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.

The collection was launched this morning in Tallaght Library by SDCC Mayor Francis Timmons who is pictured with Kathleen and Jane from IBBY, Acting County Librarian Síle Coleman and Branch Manager Liz Corry.
