Hand-drawn Zentangle patterns created in an In Sync creative therapy session in

Also known as mindful doodling, it's a simple but lovely way to give yourself a mini brain break. No rules, no pressure — just pen, paper, and a few quiet minutes to let your mind settle.

These beautiful pieces were created in our creative therapy sessions in Allenwood this week. 🎨

"Zentangles, or mindful doodles, are another lovely way to give yourself a mini brain break."

Whether it's doodling, breathing, or just pausing for a moment — finding small, gentle ways to check in with yourself matters. 💙

Why not give it a go today? Grab a pen and see where it takes you. 🖊️

This World Mental Health Day, we're practising what we preach. 💙

A few weeks ago at a peer support meeting among In Sync, one of our teammates Kate led a workshop on making aromatherapy pocket tools. We passed around essential oils, and everyone chose the scent they felt most drawn to. Then we each made our own inhaler to carry with us — a little reminder to pause, breathe in, and come back to the present moment.

We were also guided through a beautiful meditation as a self-care practice for the team.

At In Sync, we believe self-care isn't a luxury — it's a practice. And it matters just as much for our staff as it does for the people we support. Creating time and space for our team to slow down, check in, and look after themselves is part of living our values.

So here's your gentle reminder today: take a micro-mindful-moment. Breathe. You deserve it. 🌿

St. Mary's LCA students have chosen to do their Community Development Project on In Sync Youth & Family Services.

On Wednesday they met with Kate, Kerrie May, and Izabela to hear more about all of the projects and resources In Sync has to offer.

In Sync provides a wide range of youth and family services across Kildare and West Wicklow. Our approach is multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary which means we aim to offer a truly holistic and integrated service.

By putting young people at the centre and working with their families and community, we develop creative interventions which lead to better outcomes.

This , we're celebrating the power of play! 🎉

Play is an important part of young people's lives, helping them build friendships, learn new skills, boost confidence, and have fun.

One of the ways we celebrate play every year is through Youth Wave, a national event that brings together young people from Youth Work Ireland member services for a day filled with exciting activities, interactive workshops, and opportunities to connect with peers from across the country. Don't miss out on this unforgettable day of fun, connection, and learning.

👉 Register now and join us for Youth Wave 2026!

💬 Big conversations. Young voices.

A brilliant day was had in Belfast with In Sync’s Shared Island Group and Active Communities Network! ✨

Young people from Leixlip Youth Project, Naas Youth Project and West Wicklow Youth Project make up this year's Shared Island group. They traveled to Belfast and spent the day with a group of young people from the Active Communities Network. Team-building, engaging in the Peace Walls Tour and workshops where the young people explored big issues and stepped into the shoes of policy and decision-makers — asking what would I change if I were in charge?

Sharing ideas, challenging thinking and creating space for young voices to be heard. 🫶

Newbridge Curragh Youth project held a community Fun day in Rosconnell, Newbridge. The event brought young people, youth workers and local community members together to build positive relationships, strengthen community connections and create opportunities for the young people to engage in a fun and welcoming space. Through interactive games, activities and plenty of fun, young people had the chance to connect with youth workers, build confidence and enjoy being part of their community.

We would like to extend our grateful appreciation to Kildare County Council who funded the event through their Community Grants Scheme.
