€826 MORE to fill the same oil tank. In just ONE year.

October 2025: €944
October 2026: €1,770

For families across Longford Westmeath, heating their homes isn't optional. And neither are the bills.

Heating your home isn't a luxury, it's a necessity.

Government promises on Home Heating are like families oil tanks - empty!

Home heating oil has shot up by €150 since the Governments Budget. That €43 reduction? Wiped out before families even get it!

This week, Sinn Féin will push again to scrap the carbon tax on home heating oil.

People need help with rising bills, not more empty promises from a Government that’s completely out of touch.

This week, Sinn Féin will push again to scrap the carbon tax on home heating oil.

People need help with rising bills, not more empty promises from a Government that’s completely out of touch.

Home heating oil has risen by €150 since the government announced its Budget, wiping out the €43 reduction before people even get it!

Sinn Féin will bring forward our proposal to scrap carbon tax on home heating oil again this week and keep the pressure on government to take real action that puts workers and families first.

On World Mental Health Day, we recognise that mental health matters every day. Everyone deserves access to the support, care and services they need, when they need them regardless of their postcode, their age or their income.

Government must publish the detail of their mental health budget and deliver the funding and services it has promised.

Today belongs to the people of the Garvaghy Road.

28 years of peace and progress has been protected.

Sinn Féin was proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Garvaghy Road community.

People from every background and every corner of Ireland have delivered a clear and unambiguous message: our society will not be dragged back into the past.

There Is No Going Back.

Not Now. Not Ever!

How are you going to go back to your communities, look the people who elected you in the eye, and justify this budget?

This Budget shows once again that older people, disabled people, workers and families are not the priority for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.

They Had a Choice. They Chose Wrong.

This Budget was an opportunity to give workers and families a real break and finally start bringing down the cost of living.

None of this is inevitable.

These are political choices.

The Government had choices about who to prioritise, where to spend money and who needed the most help.

What deserve a government that understands the pressure people are under and is prepared to show up for them and make life genuinely more affordable.

Sinn Féin will keep standing up for workers and families, fighting your corner and pushing for the change Ireland needs.

We believe government should be on your side.
