This could have been a Budget that made life more affordable for people across Cork North West.
Instead, families in places like Millstreet, Macroom, Kanturk, Charleville and across our rural communities are still facing huge everyday costs.
Workers are being squeezed, renters have been offered next to nothing, and households reliant on home heating oil are getting just a €43 reduction despite costs rising by around €700.
For many rural families, heating your home and putting fuel in the car aren't optional extras they're necessities.
And those relying on the Fuel Allowance will get less support this winter while electricity and gas bills continue to bite.
These are political choices.
People across Cork North West deserve a government that understands the reality of living and working in rural Ireland and puts workers and families first.
Sinn Féin will keep fighting your corner both locally and nationally.
