Weather has shifted gears a little, but that’s the joy of the seasons, we have some indoor seating looking out on the courtyard. As usual cooking up a storm of home made goods for tomorrow Sunday 30th, open 10-5pm. The trail looks fresh and green post rainfall and still a few blackberries left to pick. Come for a ramble, dog friendly ( on leads)

What a busy National
Heritage Week for Hamwood House ... eighteen tours with hundreds of visitors shown round this unique home by the current owner - each tour lasted one and a half hours offering a detailed account of the fascinating history of the Hamwood Hamiltons including the legendary artists.
Hope all those who came enjoyed the experience !

The famous painting of the village of Dunboyne by Eva Hamilton 1911. Eva studied under the great Sir William Orpen and attended the Slade in London.

Cafe des Artistes open this weekend, enjoying the last of these sunny Summer days, a few new additions this weekend, scones & cream with raspberry jam Dublin Cookery School recipe & a new coffee & walnut cake with marscapone & coffee crème filling

Hi Sunshine, we are loving this weather at Hamwood. Very nice tomato & aubergine tarte tatin and a courgette and ricotta tarte for lunch today made by and our usual delicious homemade cakes from The Cupcake House

Cafes des Artistes open this weekend, come and enjoy the longest days of Summer with us. The courtyard looks so cheerful in this full blue sky light & the trail offers cool shade after lunch or coffee and cake

Speaking of lunch we added a lovely carrot tart with whipped feta to the usual favourites and a delicious raspberry tart made by The Cupcake House
