This Saturday, Irish football legend, Niall Quinn, will tell the fascinating story of Oscar Traynor – footballer, revolutionary, politician and football administrator – a remarkable local Dublin man who took part in the 1916 Rising and went on to serve as a government minister and President of the FAI for 14 years.
This is the final event of this year’s Ballybough & North Strand Festival of History.
Niall’s own fascination with Traynor led him to undertake extensive research into his life as part of his Master’s degree at DCU.
This Saturday, 10 October, in the
National Handball Centre, Sackville Avenue, Ballybough.
