A Throwback to Limerick Golf History🏌♀️⛳
With all the excitement around golf in West Clare over the last few weeks, we thought it was the perfect time for a little throwback!
Back in July 2000, Tiger Woods visited Limerick Golf Club Ballyclough as part of the JP McManus Pro-Am. On his final hole, the current 09th, Tiger hit his tee shot to the spot marked by this engraved stone plaque before going on to birdie the hole and card an incredible course-record 64.
I had the pleasure of showing the plaque to Tiger himself, making this a particularly memorable project for us at KemmyStonecraft.
Now, over 25 years later, a new commemorative plaque has been erected at Limerick Golf Club to mark this special moment in the club’s history and ensure the story lives on for generations to come.
It’s projects like this that make what we do so special creating lasting pieces that capture moments in history.
