Open Monday to Friday 9.30am-4pm Centres build on local neighbourhood solidarity and support mutual care and self-help initiatives.

Welcome to the Facebook of the Killaloe/Ballina Family Resource Centre, a voluntary community organisation for the Killaloe/Ballina area. The aim of a Family and Community Services Resource Centre is essentially to help combat disadvantage by improving the functioning of the family unit. Centres can act as a first step to community participation and social inclusion for the most vulnerable and marginalised families. They also build on informal support networks and activities that develop spontaneously at local community level and develop practical links with local schools and professional services.

A message from our wonderful local Killaloe Ballina Active Retirement Association (KBARA).
KBARA would like to sincerely thank Clare Local Development Company (CLDC) for their support through SICAP funding towards the purchase of new foldable tables, chairs and tablecloths.
The equipment was used for our β€œPicnic on the Bridge” community event and will be a valuable resource for many future community gatherings and activities for our members.
This funding has helped us to create more opportunities for our members to come together, socialise and enjoy community days out in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
We are very grateful to CLDC and SICAP for their support and for helping us to continue providing positive community experiences for our members.

Thank you to Clare Local Development Company for supporting our Social Enterprise.

Supporting Children and Parents Through Separation, Bereavement & Family Change Survey

Killaloe Ballina Family Resource Centre is exploring interest in a range of supportive programmes for children and parents.

Rainbows Programme provides children with a safe and supportive space to explore their feelings, develop coping skills and realise they are not alone when experiencing separation, bereavement or significant family change.

Circle of Security Parenting Programme supports parents in strengthening their relationship with their child and building confidence in understanding and responding to their child's emotional needs.

Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Programme offers parents practical strategies and support to help manage challenging behaviour and strengthen positive family relationships.

By taking a few moments to complete our survey, you can help us better understand the needs of local families and plan programmes and supports that will be most beneficial to our community.

For further information about the survey, or to find our more about the programmes, please contact us on 061374741 or email [email protected]
