Fuel Allowance season for 2026- 2027 is due to commence on Monday 28 September, 2026 🔥

Fuel Allowance is a social welfare payment to help with the cost of heating your home during the winter months.

Qualifying customers will receive their fuel allowance along with their primary payments on their appropriate payment day.

Since January 2026, the weekly rate of Fuel Allowance is €38 per week.

It is usually paid over a period of 28 weeks.

Customers who have opted to receive their payment in a lump sum will be paid the first lump sum along with their primary payment on their appropriate payment day.

The second lump sum will issue early January 2027.

The current value of each lump sum is €532.

The end of fuel season will be confirmed over the budget.

This dog wandered into the shop this morning. She seems to have traveled and is a little frightened and nervous.
She doesn’t have a collar on but looks well fed.

In 2022, An Post was honoured to feature Glen on our Irish Oscar Winners stamp collection, celebrating his Academy Award win alongside Markéta Irglová for Best Original Song for Once with the unforgettable Falling Slowly in 2008.

Glen's music, storytelling and artistry touched audiences around the world, while his generosity and commitment to community left an enduring mark here at home.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, collaborators and everyone who was inspired by his remarkable life and work.

Back to School Allowance 📚🎒

The Back to School Allowance will be paid out from the week commencing Monday, 13th July.

Your payment will only be paid on your usual designated payment day. So if your payment day is Tuesday, then your back to school payment will be available from that day.
