Welcome to Dublin City Council's Parks and Landscape Services page!

We hope to give you information on things happening in our parks and open spaces and show you the beauty of all of our parks in the greater Dublin Area. It will also give you, our customers, an opportunity to give us some feedback and let us know what you want to see growing in our city. And don't be shy, send us your photos of you enjoying our playgrounds, parks and wildlife :-)

The main playground in Herbert park, beside the depot will be temporarily closed for 3 hours this coming Monday morning the 12th October to facilitate essential maintenance.

🦇Dublin City Council is hosting a Bat Walk & Talk at Markievicz Park in Ballyfermot🦇
Bring your family, learn about our local nocturnal neighbors, and see a bat detector in action!
✨ Event Details:
• 📍 Location: Markievicz Park, Ballyfermot
• 📅 Date: Friday, October 9, 2026
• 🕗 Time: 8:00 PM (20:00)
• 🌧️ What to bring: Raingear (just in case!)
What you'll learn:
• Irish bat species and the threats they face
• How they live and behave
• How to use a bat detector to track them
All welcome! Just wrap up warm and show up ready to explore.

The route marked Blue in the below picture below will be closed from 8am to 6pm on the 6th October to the 12th October, this is due to drainage works being carried out at the marked location.

🌳 New Playground Now Open at Errigal Open Space

We are delighted to announce that the new playground at Errigal Open Space, behind Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, is now open to the public.

The new play facility provides a welcoming space for children and families in the local community to enjoy, with a range of play equipment designed to encourage active and imaginative play.

We look forward to seeing local children and families making the most of this new addition to Errigal Open Space. 🛝

The weather is looking fantastic for the weekend, making it the perfect time to visit St Anne's Park and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

Come along with family and friends to experience the beautiful rose gardens, browse the stalls, enjoy live entertainment, and soak up the wonderful atmosphere.
