Donal uses robots every day at Midland Steel, a steel distributor. 🏗️

Recently, he had to get hands-on and dive straight into the "brain" of a robot (the control board) to troubleshoot a communication glitch between its sensors and motors.

Regular tech maintenance like this is a vital part of modern construction, ensuring these automated systems stay up and running! ⚡

Donal works with robots at Midland Steel, a steel distributor. 🏗️

A big part of his role involves finding innovative ways to make these machines work faster and more efficiently. Recently, he upgraded one of their welding robots with a brand-new 3D infrared laser camera.

Instead of just "seeing" flat images, this high-tech camera uses laser points to perfectly map out exactly where a weld needs to go in 3D space! ⚡ This pinpoint accuracy means less wasted time on the factory floor and opens the door for these robots to build even more complex steel structures in the future.
