Cybersecurity is everyone's responsibility.

Cyber threats are increasing and can impact our services and patient care. Most attacks begin with a simple action, such as opening an email, clicking a link or sharing information.

There are simple actions we can all take to help protect our organisation from cyber threats.

Focus on 3 key actions to play your part:
⚫train – complete your cyber awareness training on HSELand
⚫think – be cautious with emails, links and attachments
⚫report – flag suspicious activity immediately

If something doesn't seem right, report it straight away. Early action makes a difference.

Our colleagues Theresa Barry recently joined Elaine McGlynn to speak with undergraduate medical students at University College Cork as part of a session on Bridging the Healthcare Divide.

The session explored how digital health and high-quality, structured health data are supporting the transformation of healthcare in Ireland, with a particular focus on the importance of data standards, interoperability and the role of SNOMED CT.

Building an understanding of digital health, data and clinical terminology among future healthcare professionals will be increasingly important as our health services become more digitally enabled.
Thank you to UCC Medicine and Health, Cork University Business School and colleagues involved in the session for the opportunity to share some of the work underway across the HSE.
