Now that's an impactful change.

We are still busy with our Facades Improvement Project and the changes are never as noticeable as when there has been a row of buildings all given a fresh coat of paint. Just look at the difference made to these buildings along Peter's Street.

Thank you to our partners at Murtaghs of Drogheda and DHS Complete Hire for helping us to continue to deliver this project and to the businesses who have partnered with us. Every building completed helps improve the town's appearance by a percentage, which all add together to create real, positive changes to the streetscape.

Love Drogheda BID is inviting people to take a closer look around the town centre after five electrical boxes were transformed into small works of art.

The boxes now feature a red-tailed bumblebee, a red admiral butterfly, an urban fox, a peacock and a kingfisher. Love Drogheda BID commissioned an artist to create the pieces as a trail, bringing a little colour and a few unexpected encounters with wildlife to everyday journeys through town.

The artworks are the first phase of a collaborative project that Love Drogheda BID, Droichead Arts Centre and Drogheda Tidy Towns will develop into 2027. A call for local artists to put in submissions is currently being prepared by Droichead Arts Centre and will be out shortly for further works.

Can you find all six? Love Drogheda BID encourages residents and visitors to explore the town centre and keep an eye out for the new additions. Share your images below in the comments and tell us which is your favourite?

Our Facades Improvement Project is in full swing, bringing fresh colour, care, and renewed vibrancy to town center business fronts across Drogheda.

Working in partnership with local business owners, Murtaghs of Drogheda and DHS Complete Hire this initiative subsidises painting materials, colour design consultancy, and specialist equipment to help property owners restore and elevate their building exteriors. And what a difference it is making to Drogheda's streets.

The Facades Improvement Project is helping to brighten our core commercial corridors and restores architectural charm, fosters a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and shoppers alike and demonstrates what we can achieve when property owners and the BID work together to invest in our town's future.

Take a walk through town this week and see the fresh new look across our high streets! A massive thank you to all the businesses who have worked with us so far to deliver these improvements for Drogheda.

The streetscape transformation continues with Love Drogheda BID. We are thrilled to reveal another completed building as part of our facades project.

Following the success of our previous work on West Street, Topprice Supermarket has been added to the completed facades, bringing new energy to the street while honoring our district’s rich architectural heritage.

We are so excited by the renewed energy that the facades project is bringing to Drogheda's town center. Every completed storefront creates a domino effect, inspiring neighboring businesses to invest and upgrade, with even small acts of extra TLC proving to make sure a difference to the visual appeal of the town center.

Thank you again to the businesses who are partnering with us to deliver this project. DHS Complete Hire Murtaghs of Drogheda
