The Sustainable Energy Communities committee was honored to take part in welcoming Minister Dara Calleary to Corofin this evening. Calleary, Minister for Rural and Community Development, came in part to laud the Corofin Community Hall for its sustainability projects, and the Corofin SEC played a part in these efforts. Committee members take pride in helping make our village more sustainable.

The Corofin Sustainable Energy Community group is looking for a few good children, teens and adults to join us at the fancy dress parade on Monday. You don't have to go to any fuss. WANT TO KNOW HOW TO SAVE €€ AND ENERGY?

With winter coming, everyone would benefit from knowing how to save a bit on those energy bills. An engaging, hands-on, all-things-energy information night is taking place Nov. 13 at 7:30pm at the Corofin Community Hall. Bring a recent electric bill and your questions. An expert from EcoVision, a not-for-profit energy upgrade and retrofiting organisation, will be presenting that night. Ecovision is also offering a limited number individual one-to-one sessions to take place in the coming weeks so people can get targeted advice. Sign-ups will be on Nov. 13 only, and are first-come, first-served. See you there!

DO YOU RENT YOUR HOME?

Do you spend too much on your energy bills? Then you may want to join local homeowners on Nov. 13 to learn more about energy-saving tips that will help you this winter and beyond. Corofin Sustainable Energy Communities is hosting an information evening at 7:30p.m. Nov. 13 at the Corofin Community Hall for everyone who wants to learn more about saving energy costs. Bring a recent electricity bill to make the most out of the evening and learn how to switch to the lowest rate. The Corofin SEC extends a special invitation to renters as well as homeowners to come and learn more. Refreshments will be served. See you there!
