Our platelet donation clinics are in Dublin and Cork. Platelets are used in the treatment of cancer and leukemic patients, bone marrow transplant, new born babies and burns victims. There is always a need for platelet donors.

At the end of September, we had 361 active Community First Responder (CFR) groups across the country, up from 344 at the same time last year.

That growth reflects the continued commitment of volunteers who give their time to support their local communities and provide vital assistance while an ambulance is on the way.

Is mór againn an obair a dhéanann ár CFRs ar fud na tíre, go raibh maith agaibh go léir. 💚

🚑❤️ THE POWER OF A BYSTANDER ❤️🚑

Did you know that Ireland has one of the highest bystander CPR rates in the entire world at a staggering 85%? 🌍✨

Following some of our team's recent trip to the National First Responders Conference, we wanted to share a few powerful figures that highlight why Community First Responders (CFRs) and local awareness matter so much:

👉 1 in 3 emergency calls have a CFR on the scene first.
👉 CFRs start life-saving CPR in 12% of calls.
👉 CFRs have defibrillator pads on a patient's chest in 20% of calls.

From our local streets to national networks, communities, AEDs and emergency services form the vital links in the chain of survival. 🔗❤️

A massive thank you to everyone in Arva, Cornafean, and Killeshandra who supports us, looks out for their neighbours and keeps our communities safe. Enjoy the weekend!

We want to hear about your experience with the National Ambulance Service.

Your feedback helps us understand what's working well and where we can continue to improve the care and service we provide.

If you or a family member has recently used our service, we'd be grateful if you could take a few moments to complete our Patient Experience Survey here: https://shorturl.at/bTpUF

Thank you for helping us deliver the best possible care for our patients.
