Source & Reflection by Lori Fox on display at Blackrock Castle from October 10th.
In this body of work Fox merges highly structured compositions with instinctive free form gestures, to examine the dualities of light and shadow, source and reflection, sun and moon. Her work investigates the limits of human perception and the eyes ability to interpret form within constraint fields of light, revealing how vision itself can become just an illusion.

Even when 96% of the Sun is covered, the remaining sunlight can permanently damage your eyesight.

Follow the expert advice from MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory:

✅ Use undamaged, certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses for all direct viewing.
✅ Put the glasses on before looking towards the Sun.
✅ Turn away from the Sun before removing them.
❌ Ordinary sunglasses are not safe.
❌ Never look at the Sun through a camera, telescope or binoculars unless specialist solar filters are fitted correctly to the front of the equipment.
✅ Without glasses, use a pinhole projector to view an indirect image of the Sun.

There will be no safe glasses-off period during the eclipse in Ireland.
