It's 3 years since we started our journey to get a playground and setting up the go fund me page. There have been many hurdles and set backs with grants not working out etc but we are still determined to get this playground that will cater to this parish, surrounding areas and all those visiting cloughjordan.

Hopefully soon we'll have some good news about a grant that we've applied for to start phase one of the playground 🤞 fingers crossed ye will hear some good news soon

Cloughjordan FC are seeking help with getting one or two people or parents involved in helping coach an U8 Girls team.
Below is the message for help

There is an option to enter an informal U8 Girls team, that will play a monthly 5-Side blitz in Ardcroney/Clough/Ballymackey or Roscrea.

This is for Girls born 2019 and 2020.

If there are 2 willing to support this team, we can enter them. The role involves supporting the girls on match day, rotating players in and out etc... We try ensure there are no "subs" sitting out.

We just want the girls to have fun and enjoy their matches, can you help out ?

Experience not necessary at this level, just a friendly outlook and manner. I will assist whenever I can

A terrific fundraiser yesterday evening in St Kieran’s Hall on behalf the new community playground project with Cloughjordan Community Playground Development . The poker classic raised €1570 in total including a €100 donation from Gary Curley Clough Inn👍

Thank you very much also to Cloughjordan & Borrisokane Union of Parishes for the use of St Kieran’s and a big thank you to Peter Murphy’s Quick Pick , Austin's Centra Cloughjordan and Gulan’s for providing food and refreshments. We would like to take a group photo of adults and children in support of the playground project at the proposed playground site on Saturday May 9th at 7pm all are welcome, it will take no longer than 10 minutes. Please come along if you're free we want this photo to really represent the great need for a playground in cloughjordan

The Tús initiative is managed by local development companies for the department of social protection, which has the overall responsibility for the scheme. North Tipperary Development Company manages the Tús initiative for the North Tipperary region.
