๐Ÿ“š Cosy autumn evenings + a good book + your baby on your lap = the best kind of bonding! ๐Ÿ’›

Did you know I have three baby sign board books? Each one is made for tiny hands and curious little eyes, with simple signs you can learn together, one page at a time. ๐Ÿคฒ

Here is why parents tell me they love them:
โœจ Short, simple pages that suit baby's attention span
๐Ÿ‘ถ Signs you can pick up in minutes and use all day long
๐ŸŽถ Perfect to pair with your favourite nursery rhymes

Whether it's a bedtime story, a rainy afternoon or a quiet moment after the school run, a few minutes of reading and signing together can open up a whole new way to communicate before the first words arrive.

They also make a lovely gift for a new baby! ๐ŸŽ

Pick up your copies online or in over 200 indie bookshops nationwide, and don't forget our November term is coming up soon too!

Don't wait to communicate! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŽƒ HALLOWEEN BLOG ALERT ๐ŸŽƒ

Next up in my favourite Halloween days out is something a little different, the Halloween Parade in Galway.

We went last year and I am still thinking about it.

If you have never seen a Macnas parade, imagine enormous puppets, incredible costumes, fire, drumming and the streets of Galway completely transformed into something that feels like another world. It is the kind of thing that stops you mid-sentence and makes you just stand there watching with your mouth slightly open.

My kids were absolutely riveted.

I will be honest, it is a long way to travel for a fairly short parade. But we were staying with a friend I do not see nearly enough, and that made the whole trip more than worthwhile.

We actually made a little weekend of it and the next day went for a walk in Barna Woods, which was gorgeous. There are some beautiful carvings along the trail that the kids loved spotting as we walked, so it turned into a lovely little adventure in its own right.

If you have family or friends in Galway, the Macnas parade is a very good excuse to use! And if you are travelling from further afield, I'd definitely recommend making a weekend of it and exploring a bit while you're there.

๐ŸŽƒ I have included the Macnas Parade, along with some of our other favourite Halloween days out around Ireland, in my new blog post.

Feature Friday brings us to Sligo, where youโ€™ll find my books in both @ stores ๐Ÿ’›

You can find me at Eason on Oโ€™Connell Street and Eason in Sligo Quayside Shopping Centre.

Itโ€™s always such a lovely feeling seeing my books on the shelves in more than one location, and Iโ€™m delighted to have them available for families in Sligo.

So, if youโ€™re looking for a little book for a little book lover, you know where to go! ๐Ÿ“š

A big thank you to both teams for supporting my books and Irish publishing.

๐ŸŽƒ HALLOWEEN BLOG ALERT ๐ŸŽƒ

Next up in my favourite Halloween days out with little ones is ! ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŒฒ

I actually ended up here one year because I had been too slow getting tickets at our local spot. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sometimes being too disorganised works in your favour!

It actually turned out to be an incredible day out.

What I loved about was the whole journey through the forest and at each station there is a character waiting for you, so there is always something to look forward to around the next bend.

It builds really nicely as you make your way through the forest and then finishes at the pumpkin patch, which is a pretty perfect finale when you have little ones who want something to bring home.

I also think the forest walk works particularly well if you have a child who might find big crowds or very intense Halloween theatrics a bit much. There is plenty of Halloween magic, but it feels like an adventure rather than being all about the scares.

๐ŸŽƒ I have included Lugwoods, along with some of our other favourite Halloween days out around Ireland, in my new blog post.

Have you been to Lugwoods for Halloween? Or have you discovered somewhere else that needs to go on my list for next year?
