Cavan Cultural Champions Co.

Cavan local community intercultural network of advocates who provide advocacy and support for members of new communities assisting in the Child Protection and Welfare process, as well as organising early intervention and prevention programmes. Cavan Cultural Champions have the mission to provide advocacy and support for members of new communities who may be involved in the Child Protection and Welfare process in cooperation with TUSLA, HSE, Gardai, Local businesses and organisations. Cultural Champions help to provide early intervention and prevention programmes in developing positive relationships with children and families and help though advocacy empowerment so that their needs be best met.

The Cultural Champion commits to undertake the following training:

- Advocacy (QQI Level 6)

- Child Protection & Welfare

- Positive Parenting Programmes

The above training will be provided at no cost to the cultural champion.
