WOODLAND TRAILS:
With over 80 acres of woodland and lakeside to explore, Castlecomer Discovery Park is the perfect place to experience nature, get fit and enjoy the great outdoors. Why not take a hike, have a picnic or take a path you never took before! We have a range of trail loops through our woodland, all free to enjoy. ORIENTEERING:
Three permanent courses (1km, 2km or 3km). Laminate maps available for €3.50. Available daily. TIMBER TUMBLES PLAYGROUND:
Young visitors can have great fun in the charming FREE Timber Tumbles playground which includes a mini zip-wire and climbing wall! CAR PARK:
1st hour €2, €3 up to 3 hours, €4 ALL DAY, €50 Annual Pass

As part of the exciting development of our new Biking Trail, a section of the Ardra Loop will be temporarily closed for approximately four weeks while construction takes place.

🚵‍♀️ An exciting project for our community

We’re delighted to share that, with the support of Kilkenny County Council, work is getting underway next week on a fantastic new 7km mountain biking trail!

This is a really exciting addition to our local area and something we hope will be enjoyed by our community and visitors for many years to come.

🏗️ Works will take approximately 9 months
🚧 Signage will be in place throughout the works
🥾 Some sections of our walking trails will have limited access at different stages, please follow all signage and respect any temporary closures.
🎟️ Our activities and bookings will continue as normal, and we remain open throughout.

We know that works of this scale may cause some disruption, and we really appreciate everyone's patience, understanding and support over the coming months.

Thank you to Kilkenny County Council for helping make this exciting project possible. We’re looking forward to seeing the trail take shape and, most importantly, seeing our community enjoy it when it’s complete!

Here’s to the next chapter of outdoor adventure in our community!
