A little nod back to this night last week.😊🎸🎸

Last Saturday evening in conjunction with Friends of Bridgewater House, Carrick on Suir. Ormond Castle was delighted to host a tribute evening of song and poetry in honour of the late Glen Hansard.
On the night the audience were treated to performances by the renowned professional artists Ruairí de Leastar and Ritchie Delahunty. The two artists performed some of the best songs from the large repertoire of Glen Hansard.They were joined on the evening by local singer Chloe Young (Glenmore) and poetry was presented by Habibba Trad and Samuel Aina (Bridgewater House).
A fantastic evening was enjoyed by all that attended in what turned out to be a very fitting tribute to Glen.

Our season is getting short, and today is one of the last couple of chances to avail of a free visit at Ormond castle. Guided tours start at 10:30 am and run throughout the day.Last entry to house is 5:15pm.

We are in the running for the Best of Tipperary 2026 awards.
Our category "Best tourism activity "has us up against some Pretty big hitters in the county of Tipperary. At Ormond we believe we have something really special and would love to think our little Castle can take on the big boys 💪💪 but we need your help. It only takes a couple of minutes to register a vote but It would be some craic and a little victory for Carrick if we won🏆🏆🙂🙂

A fantastic couple of hours were enjoyed by all that attended the traditional gilding workshop in Ormond castle this morning. Our guide Aga is a wealth of knowledge in this area and she was delighted to share it with everybody that came along. The end results of what the participants created are brilliant.😊👍👍
