We are deeply disappointed by the decision in the United States to begin the process of stripping endangered-species protections from Mexican wolves and making it easier for them to be killed.

At Wild Ireland, we live and work alongside wolves every day. We see their intelligence, their complex family bonds and the vital role they play in healthy ecosystems. Ireland has already lost its wild wolves once. We know only too well that when fear and persecution replace science and coexistence, extinction can follow.

The concerns of farmers must be taken seriously, but there are effective ways to protect livestock without declaring war on an entire species. Conservation decisions should be guided by evidence, not politics.

Wolves have fought their way back from the brink. They deserve protection, not persecution. 🐺

The US president says the move will help ranchers, but conservationists say it could derail efforts to recover populations.

Killian was honoured to have a storm named after him, “I'm known as the “Bearman of Buncrana”, so if Storm Killian comes this way it'll probably roar in like a bear. My family would expect it to be unpredictable and unexpected!”

The list of 21 names has been announced by the Met Office, Met Éireann and the Dutch weather service and comes into effect on 1 September.

Land. 🐾 Air. ✈️ Sea. 🌊

🎥 We're entering production on an exciting new slate of international shows and some familiar favourites.

🌍 These projects are taking us further and deeper than usual, with humans and animals both along for the ride.

While we can’t say much right now, in the meantime catch our current projects available to stream in territories across the world. 🗺️

📺 This is shaping up to be one of the busiest, most exciting chapters in Moondance's history - and we can't wait to start sharing it.
