🎌📚 Manga magic at Greystones Library! 📚🎌

Our Manga Book Club members have been getting creative!

Swipe through to see a handmade key inspired by Kingdom Hearts, the comic the group has been reading, along with two of our members bringing their favourite characters to life — Roxas from Kingdom Hearts and Tanjiro from Demon Slayer! ⚔️🗝️

It’s wonderful to see books inspiring creativity, conversation and a love of reading in so many different ways.

Whether you’re into manga, graphic novels, fantasy or something completely different, there’s something for everyone at your local library!

📖 Keep an eye on Wicklow Libraries for more activities and events.

📚🐻 What a wonderful time at Aunty Lucy Storytime! 🐻📚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our special storytime celebrating the Children’s Book Festival!

We had at least 40 parents and children join us for a lovely session filled with stories, fun and plenty of smiles. And the fun didn’t stop there! Everyone stayed on afterwards to enjoy Lego Club and some Paddington-themed colouring. 🧱🎨

It was fantastic to see so many families enjoying everything their local library has to offer. From storytimes and creative activities to Lego Club, there’s always something happening at Wicklow Libraries for children and families to enjoy.

✨ Make your local library part of your family’s routine! Come along, discover a new favourite book, join an activity and see what’s happening in your branch.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

📜 LOCAL HISTORY TALK – LETTERS FROM AMERICA
with Peadar Curran

Join us at Wicklow Town Library on Thursday 22nd October at 7pm for a fascinating evening with Peadar Curran.

In 1906, twenty-year-old Bernard Kelly left his home in Cronebane, Tigroney, Avoca, and set off for Butte, Montana, in search of a new life.

Through six letters Bernard wrote to his sister between 1906 and 1909, Peadar traces his journey from Avoca, his experiences working in the mines, and his passage across the Atlantic to America.

These personal letters offer a glimpse into the hopes, challenges and everyday experiences of a young Irish emigrant at the beginning of the twentieth century. ✉️
