Conservation work is in progress on Russborough’s two principal external staircases and the basement areas surrounding the main house.
The project includes realigning and conserving the historic granite steps, repairing the supporting masonry, and addressing deterioration to the carved balustrades and heraldic lions. These carefully planned interventions will secure the staircases while retaining the historic materials and craftsmanship that give them their distinctive character.

The works are being undertaken by Classic Conservation and Restoration, with valued support from the Historic Structures Fund and the Apollo Foundation.
