Bantry's Tidy Towns - one of Ireland’s most well-known local environmental initiatives, encouraging communities to improve their local environment and make their area a better place to live, work & visit. Bantry's branch of Tidy Towns - one of Ireland’s most well known and popular local environmental initiatives whose primary focus is to encourage communities to improve their local environment and make their area a better place to live, work and visit. We meet at the fountain in Wolfe Tone Square, Bantry, every Saturday, 11am, to clean and upgrade various areas of the town - note, this will change to Tues 7pm in the winter. New volunteers are always welcome!

A big shout-out to the Transition Year students from Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí who carried out a clean-up of the beach at the Béicín.

56KG of rubbish was collected which is a fantastic amount 👏🏼👏🏼

As the evenings are now closing in, Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers had their last weekly meet-up of the season on Tuesday evening. They will meet occasionally during the autumn and winter months as needs arise.

Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way during the year, it’s much appreciated 👏🏼

A big shout-out also to Paco in the Quays who served up complimentary tea, coffee ☕ and biscuits at the end of the evening 👏🏼

Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers will meet up on Tuesday evening, September 22nd @ 7pm at the fountain in the Square.
A general clean-up will take place around town.

As part of the Clean Coasts , Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers were delighted to be joined by members of Bantry Bay RFC and West Cork Jesters in a clean-up of Bantry Airstrip and adjoining beach on a lovely Tuesday evening 🌞👏🏼

Everyone is welcome to join in with our Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers for the Clean Coasts which takes place this week nationwide.

We will be collecting litter on the beach and surrounding area at Bantry Airstrip on this Tuesday evening, September 15th, at 7pm.
Litter-picks, rubbish bags, gloves and hi-viz will be provided.

Come along and do your bit to help keep our shorelines clean.🌊🐠

Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers got a lot of weeding done at the Spirit of Love garden on Tuesday evening. Once again, a big thank-you to Bantry Bay RFC for helping out 👏🏼

Bantry Tidy Towns volunteers are returning to the Spirit of Love garden on Tuesday evening at 7pm. They were due to get some work done there last week but, unfortunately, the “weather gods” 🌧️ didn’t allow it 😕.
