Celebrating the CAIS 2026 Irish Farmhouse Cheese Awards!

Bord Bia is proud to sponsor the CAIS 2026 Irish Farmhouse Cheese Awards, celebrating the exceptional farmhouse cheeses produced by businesses across the island of Ireland.

This year, over 150 cheeses were tasted and individually scored on aroma, flavour, body, texture and overall appearance to select the category winners and the overall Supreme Champion.

Last week, the awards took place at Cloughjordan House, bringing together cheesemakers and industry representatives to celebrate the very best of Irish farmhouse cheese. Bo Zhang, Client Executive - Speciality Dairy, presented four Best in Class awards.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and a special mention to Gypsy Gifford, Richelle South and Lisa Gifford of , who were crowned this year’s Supreme Champion. 🏆

What better way to tell the story of Irish beef than by bringing some of the UK’s top chefs directly to its source?

Lucy Donegan from our UK office organised the annual annual visit of UK chefs to Irish beef farms alongside colleagues in the UK office, ABP Food Group and Aubrey Allen an award-winning catering butcher that supply Michelin and equivalent restaurants in the UK.

The trip brought leading UK chefs to Ireland to experience first-hand the quality, sustainability credentials and rich heritage behind Irish beef farming - helping to build genuine advocates for Irish beef.
