On Saturday 4th February, we held our official launch.
After a break of 20 years, St John Ambulance had returned to the West of Ireland. It was a significant day, marked by the attendance of An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, to welcome the new Mayo Division.
That launch wasn't just a single event. It was the culmination of huge dedication and persistence from many people, all driven by a shared belief that this vital service needed to exist in our community again.
Re-establishing something after two decades takes deep commitment. It's a reminder that when a community need is strong enough, people will always find a way to step up and serve.
That same spirit of service is what our volunteers bring to every local event, ready to provide calm, professional first aid cover when it's needed most.
