Sejak dulu, Pantai Senggigi adalah primadona wisata Lombok—pantai indah, sunset menawan, dan ramai wisatawan dari berbagai penjuru dunia. Nah, kabar baiknya, Senggigi siap bangkit lagi!

Pemerintah NTB baru saja membangun sebuah amphitheatre keren di kawasan Pasar Seni Senggigi. Tempat ini akan menjadi pusat pertunjukan seni dan budaya yang bakal digelar rutin. Mulai dari tari tradisional, musik etnik, hingga festival budaya—semuanya ada di sini!

Peresmiannya dijadwalkan pada 8 Februari 2025. Jadi, buat kamu yang kangen atau belum pernah ke Senggigi, ini saat yang pas buat datang lagi! Nikmati suasana baru, pertunjukan seru, dan tentu saja keindahan alamnya yang selalu bikin rindu.

Setelah melalui proses pendaftaran dan penjurian yang cukup panjang, Lomba Video Pendek Promosi Pariwisata dan UMKM NTB dalam rangka event akbar Ite Begawe Fest 2024, maka telah diputuskan oleh dewan juri 4 pemenang lomba, yaitu:

- Juara 1: Rizal Efendi
- Juara 2: Herkiandi
- Juara 3: Tio Alvandi Achmad
- Juara 4: Muhammad Yusril Ananda

Keputusan dewan juri tidak bisa diganggugugat.

BPPD NTB ucapkan selamat atas prestasi yang diraih oleh para pemenang, dan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada 50 peserta lain yang telah mengirimkan karya.

Atas apresiasi tersebut, BPPD NTB menyediakan Sertifikat Apresiasi bagi seluruh peserta yang telah mengirimkan karyanya.

Dear Esteemed Tourism Stakeholders of West Nusa Tenggara,

It is with a sense of profound respect and gratitude that we pen this letter to formally announce our farewell from the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD NTB) on this significant date, March, 6th, 2024.

Upon reflection of the past year, we are compelled to express our deepest appreciation for the invaluable collaborations and shared experiences we have cultivated together. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to each of you, esteemed tourism stakeholders, for your unwavering dedication and support. Our collective endeavors have not only fostered the establishment of robust relationships but have also forged a cohesive team of like-minded individuals. Your steadfast commitment has been instrumental in propelling the growth and advancement of the tourism sector in the West Nusa Tenggara province.

As we prepare to embark on a new chapter, this farewell announcement evokes a bittersweet sentiment, acknowledging the significant strides we have taken together in promoting the tourism sector in this region. Nevertheless, we depart with the utmost optimism that our paths may converge again, and we will have the opportunity to reignite and continue our collaboration to enhance the tourism sector in West Nusa Tenggara.

Peresean: Bukan Tarian Biasa, Lebih dari sekedar pertarungan, Tetapi bukan p**a sebagai bentuk permusuhan.

Peresean, memiliki makna yang lebih mendalam.

Merupakan warisan tradisi yang masih hidup di kalangan masyarakat Sasak, Peresean memegang peran penting dalam sejumlah ritual adat Suku Sasak, Lombok.

Pada awalnya, Peresean diadakan sebagai bagian dari ritual meminta hujan ketika kemarau panjang melanda. Dimana untuk menyukseskan ritual tersebut diperlukan pepadu untuk bertarung peresean. Pepadu yang akan berlaga dalam ritual tersebut biasanya adalah orang-orang pilihan yang mewakili dusun atau desa masing masing.

Dengan bersenjatakan sebuah cambuk dari rotan (pecut) dan tameng yang terbuat dari kulit kerbau (ende), para pemuda pilihan tersebut akan beradu ketangkasan saling mencambuk hingga salah satu dari mereka menyatakan kalah atau mengeluarkan darah. Tetesan darah dari petarung (pepadu) yang jatuh ke tanah tersebut adalah mantra untuk memanggil hujan. Sekaligus sebagai tanda keberhasilan dari ritual yang diadakan.

Sebelum bertarung, para pepadu biasanya akan dibekali juga dengan doa (jampi), dibalur dengan minyak khusus dan sebelum mulai mengangkat senjata, mereka terlebih dahulu akan menari mengikuti irama gendang sebagai penyemangat.

Tidak jauh berbeda dengan petarung tradisi lainnya seperti Muay Thai, Kungfu, atau Pencak Silat yang kerap menjadi idola, pepadu peresean juga biasanya mendapatkan rekognisi serupa dalam masyarakat.

Kini, fungsi Peresean sedikit berubah. Peresean sering dijadikan pertunjukan dalam upacara adat, tarian penyambut tamu, atau ajang pembuktian kematangan seorang pemuda Sasak dalam melindungi calon pasangannya.
