ترأس معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 2026.02.08، الاجتماع السنوي الأول الذي تنظمه الوزارة مع رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية الآسيوية المعتمدين لدى دولة ليبيا، بحضور السيد الحسن محمد رابحة، مدير إدارة شؤون آسيا وأستراليا.
يأتي هذا الاجتماع في إطار تعزيز التواصل المؤسسي مع الشركاء الآسيويين، وتبادل الرؤى حول آفاق الشراكة الثنائية ومتعددة الأطراف، وتوسيع الاستفادة من فرص التعاون في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وخلال الاجتماع، رحب معالي السيد الباعور بالسادة السفراء، مؤكدا حرص حكومة الوحدة الوطنية على دعم وتعزيز علاقات الشراكة مع الدول الآسيوية، والتأكيد على أهمية التجمعات والمنتديات الإقليمية والدولية، من بينها منتدى الشراكة الأفريقية–التركية، والقمة العربية–الصينية، ومؤتمر طوكيو الدولي للتنمية في أفريقيا (تيكاد)، ومنتديات التعاون الأفريقي–الكوري والعربي–الهندي، باعتبارها منصات استراتيجية لتعزيز الشراكات الاقتصادية والسياسية والتنموية.
كما شدد معاليه على أهمية العمل عبر القنوات الرسمية والمؤسسية المعتمدة في الدولة الليبية، بما يضمن وضوح المسؤوليات واستدامة الشراكات، مؤكدا أن أي تفاهمات أو ترتيبات تبرم خارج هذه الأطر لا تندرج ضمن مسارات الشراكة الرسمية.
وشهد الاجتماع مناقشات موسّعة حول آفاق الشراكة الاقتصادية والاستثمارية، وتفعيل آليات العمل الثنائي، وتشجيع الزيارات المتبادلة بين ليبيا والدول الآسيوية، على أن يلي هذا الاجتماع عقد اجتماعات تشاورية لاحقة في أقرب الآجال، بما يسهم في تعزيز الشراكات وتحقيق المصالح المشتركة.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, chaired today, Sunday, 08 February 2026, the first annual meeting organized by the Ministry with the heads of Asian diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Libya, in the presence of Mr. Al-Hassan Mohamed Rabha, Director of the Asia and Australia Affairs Department.
This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening institutional communication with Asian partners, exchanging views on prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and expanding the utilization of opportunities for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, His Excellency Mr. Al-Baour welcomed the ambassadors, affirming the Government of National Unity’s commitment to supporting and enhancing partnership relations with Asian countries.
He also emphasized the importance of regional and international groupings and forums, including the Africa–Turkey Partnership Forum, the Arab–China Summit, the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), and the Africa–Korea and Arab–India cooperation forums, as strategic platforms for advancing economic, political, and developmental partnerships.
His Excellency further stressed the importance of working through the official and institutional channels recognized by the Libyan state, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and sustainability of partnerships, noting that any understandings or arrangements concluded outside these frameworks do not fall within the scope of official partnership pathways.
The meeting featured extensive discussions on prospects for economic and investment cooperation, the activation of bilateral mechanisms, and the encouragement of mutual visits between Libya and Asian countries. It was agreed that this meeting will be followed by further consultative meetings at the earliest opportunity, contributing to the strengthening of partnerships and the realization of shared interests.
