The update launches 3 priority areas of initiative for :

🇯🇵 Deputy Head of Mission, Mr CHUJO Kazuo, joined his ASEAN counterparts at the 20th Meeting of the ASEAN-Japan Joint Cooperation Committee Working Group (AJJCC-WG) at the ASEAN Headquarters last week. The meeting was held to prepare for the ambassador-level meeting of the AJJCC, scheduled to be held on 25 May 2026.

Until last year, there were flags of Japan and the 10 ASEAN Member States displayed inside the conference hall. This year, they were joined by the flag of 🇹🇱, which officially joined ASEAN in late 2025.

🇯🇵 looks forward to a productive AJJCC meeting with ASEAN next month!
