🎓🇵🇱🇮🇩 On 10 June 2026, Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Maciej Tumulec delivered a lecture at Universitas HKBP Nommensen (UHN) in Medan entitled “The Rising Role of Poland in Global Affairs and Its Relevance to Southeast Asia.”

We were truly impressed by the tremendous interest shown by the audience and the lively Q&A session that followed. Questions covered a wide range of topics, including Poland, Polish–Indonesian relations, the sources of Poland’s successful democratic and economic transformation, and educational opportunities in Poland. 📚✨

Around 500 students and faculty members attended the event, making it an inspiring and engaging exchange of ideas.

Following the lecture, Embassy representative Mr. Haqqi Azka Nudya presented Poland’s higher education system and study opportunities available for international students. 🎓🌍

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the representatives of the North Sumatra Provincial Government for honoring us with their presence.

Finally, the Embassy would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Rector Dr. Richard A.M. Napitupulu, S.T., M.T. for the invitation, and to Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Medan, Dr. Ir. It is always a great pleasure to welcome representatives of Indonesian media. This time, our Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Maciej Tumulec, had the opportunity to host Ms. Rina Nurjanah and Ms. Dwi Ayuningtyas, Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Tirto.id, one of Indonesia’s leading news platforms.

We are deeply impressed by Tirto.id’s commitment to combating disinformation and promoting professional journalism, including in remote parts of Indonesia. Particularly inspiring is the platform’s strong fact-checking approach, which forms the foundation of its journalism and its flagship “Periksa Fakta” section.

Poland is sharing its experience and best practices in excise taxation and combating the illicit trade in to***co products. During a meeting in Warsaw, Deputy Finance Minister of 🇵🇱 Mr. Jarosław Neneman welcomed representatives of 🇮🇩 Ministry of Finance, led by Director of Excise Technical and Facilities, Mr. Djaka Kusmartata.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange expertise on effective excise administration, tackling the shadow economy, and enhancing tools that support tax compliance and protect state revenues

Belajar bahasa juga bisa dilakukan melalui kegiatan memasak — sekaligus mengenal budaya dari dapurnya 🇵🇱🍽️

Kedutaan Besar Republik Polandia di Jakarta menyelenggarakan lokakarya kuliner bagi peserta kursus bahasa Polandia di Universitas Atma Jaya, yang didanai oleh Badan Nasional Pertukaran Akademik Polandia (NAWA).

Hampir 50 peserta belajar bersama cara menyiapkan hidangan tradisional Polandia dengan bimbingan dua koki asal Polandia, Marcin Budynek dan Kamil Babkowski. Beberapa hidangan yang dibuat antara lain “pierogi”, “racuchy” apel, dan “gzik”. Tentu saja, acara ini juga dipenuhi suasana yang menyenangkan serta makanan yang lezat!

Para peserta juga berkesempatan bertemu dengan Duta Besar Barbara Szymanowska dan pengajar bahasa Polandia Natalia Wójcik-Kubisiak.

Tahun ini menandai 10 tahun penyelenggaraan kursus bahasa Polandia di Universitas Atma Jaya. Kami sangat senang melihat begitu banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang tertarik mempelajari bahasa Polandia yang indah serta mengenal lebih dekat budaya Polandia 🇵🇱✨

Learning a language can also happen through cooking — and through discovering a culture “from the kitchen” 🇵🇱🍽️
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta organized a culinary workshop for participants of the Polish language courses at Atma Jaya University, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
Nearly 50 participants learned how to prepare traditional Polish dishes together with two Polish chefs — Marcin Budynek and Kamil Babkowski. Among the dishes prepared were pierogi, apple racuchy and traditional gzika — and, of course, there was plenty of fun and delicious food along the way!
The participants were also joined by Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska and Polish language lecturer Natalia Wójcik-Kubisiak.
This year marks 10 years of Polish language courses at Atma Jaya University. We are very happy to see so many Indonesians interested in learning the beautiful Polish language and discovering Polish culture 🇵🇱✨

🌍🎓 Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska delivered the keynote address titled “Economic Diplomacy in a Fragmented World: Building Bridges Between Europe and Southeast Asia” during the 7th International Graduate School Conference organized by Institut Teknologi Bandung.

In her remarks, Ambassador Szymanowska highlighted the challenges facing today’s rapidly changing world and emphasized the importance of building international partnerships based on cooperation, dialogue, and mutual understanding 🤝🌐

🇵🇱 Referring to Poland’s economic transformation, she underlined how openness, investment in education, and innovation can serve as key drivers of sustainable long-term growth and resilience.

The Ambassador also stressed the importance of academic exchange and scientific cooperation 🎓🔬, emphasizing that stronger ties between Europe and Southeast Asia will play an increasingly important role in shaping a more connected and prosperous future 🌏✨

Malam eksklusif seni kuliner Polandia 🇵🇱✨

Untuk satu malam saja, kekayaan cita rasa Polandia hadir di Jakarta lewat kehadiran dua chef luar biasa dari Polandia — Chef Marcin Budynek dan Chef Kamil Babkowski, yang memperkenalkan cita rasa autentik Polandia, termasuk kelezatan khas wilayah Mazury yang indah.

Acara kuliner istimewa yang diadakan oleh Kedutaan Besar Polandia ini mempertemukan para tamu terhormat dari Indonesia yang tidak hanya mengapresiasi kuliner berkualitas tinggi, tetapi juga turut membentuk selera dan tren kuliner di Indonesia.

Acara ini juga dimeriahkan dengan penampilan live jazz dari musisi Polandia, Jakub Skowroński yang menghadirkan suasana yang berbeda dan berkesan.

Menu yang disajikan merupakan hidangan khas tradisional Polandia dengan sentuhan modern, termasuk steak tartare, sup “żurek”, “pierogi” (pangsit khas Polandia), serta es krim “sękacz”, menawarkan perjalanan kuliner melintasi Polandia dan kesempatan untuk mengenal sisi lain dari kuliner Polandia.
