Books For Bali Project Donating books to the local community through Ganesha Bookshop in Bali. To foster literacy and a love of reading in the Balinese community.

We have been donating books to local libraries and schools since 2004. Books for Bali Project was founded by Ganesha Bookshop in Bali and together with like-minded people has been able to donate thousands of books to local schools, libraries, learning centres and orphanages in Bali and surrounding Indonesian Islands.

Robin Driscoll has stopped by Ganesha Bookshop to support our Books for Bali Project. She purchased a couple of appropriate books and these will now make their way into the eager hands of Balinese Children.

Our program is simple and effective and we have been passing on book donations since 2004. We never thought that it would have such an impact but are delighted to witness the changing attitude to reading in our community.

You can help too by purchasing a book and donating it to Books for Bali Project. Come into Ganesha Bookshop and learn more about what we do.

Many thanks to our Books for Bali Project supporters, and in particular to Teresa Wynne Taylor, author of The House in Bausasran.

Teresa has donated the proceeds of her novel to our project and we are delighted to put together a large box of books for the new school OLAS ASIH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Kemenuh, Gianyar.
