Year ? Guessing 1984 ? Cracked it The Morning of The PIPE MASTERS to Show I Should be In after No Invite that Year. So BIG 3 Competitors Didn't Catch Waves in Heats ! I Stood by the Judging Tower Heckling them when they Came in lol ! After the Comp I approached the Judges and Randy Rarick ! "HEY ! I HAD My WAVE Count 4 Waves in 20 Minutes. Before The COMP !"
Rarick " We Know We Saw You. That Barrel was the Size of a Telephone POLE !! You Are IN Next Year !"

Another Treasure from The Chest! Pipeline 1990ish?
My Variation of a Lopez Bottom Turn! Mr. LOPEZ such a Major Influence from when I first Viewed "5 SUMMER STORIES" in a Movie Theater in Florida sending my Brain into a Tunnel of Love Fantasy! If You Know You Know! I still remember the Barrel after this Bottom Turn! Memory becomes more selective at 69 years old! Oh Boy When I Die that Flash of Epic Memories is Going to be Sea if Joy !!! It appeared in a Surfing Magazine Calender but I can not Remember the Photographer? Help ? Thanks again to and Eric Merlander for Guarding THE TREASURE CHEST!!!

Present from THE TREASURE CHEST - WAVE and RIDE of MY LIFE!!! Banzai Pipeline 1978 ? Rare West Angle Allowing this Size on the Inside Take -Off! Make a Long Story Short. Pulled In and Never Saw a Opening until the Double -Triple Spit Blew Her Load and I Exited in front of the Pipeline Underground House which is now the West End of Ehukai Beach Park. I could hear Roach aka Doug Brown yelling "Hey Now!" And the Gerry Lopez house applauding along with the whole Beach ! Gerry was on Maui but the next day in the Lineup was the First Time he Spoke to Me. "Hey Bruce! I hear you got The Wave Yesterday" ! Thanks for for Storing the Chest and Eric Merlander for the Scanned Image. The only one I have of The Heaviest Surfing Moment in my Long Life ! Custom Pipeline Gun Shaped by Cort Gion!!!
I'm 69 years old.

PIPELINE MASTERS 1981 - The Wave that Broke my Ankle in 6 Places. I remember pulling in and My head and Shoulders were in and I could see the Opening when the Lip caught me in my Lower Back and Drove Me into Brian Bills Balsa Board. I didn't go off either side of the board. I went straight Up like a Rocket with the Explosion and Floated around up there before coming back down to the Pipeline LOL !
Swam in thinking "I think I made that Heat I've got to go get Ice on my Ankle ! When I reached the Beach I went to stand up and fell Flat on my Face ! I was like WTF ? Looked at My Foot and it was turned around Backwards and Flopping around 😂! 

The Guards came running up and Said "Whatever You do Don't look at your Foot !!!😂

The Announcer announced I got 2'nd in the Heat ! 😭

THE AGONY OF DAFEET !!!😂😂😂

NO SEMI FINAL for ME 😭!!! 😂

Conditions Today at The Pipe Masters looks a bit The Same !
