The Chinese Soviet Republic (CSR), a rich digital archive with almost 2,500 records spanning 1922 to 1956, containing documents on early Communist state-building, including constitutions, directives, resolutions, military reports, and court decisions, reflecting the basis of the CSR government as well as the struggle to maintain the CSR through the war.

Manhua Digital Archive, a searchable collection of the state-sponsored pictorial magazine Manhua 漫畫 (1950-1960) published in the first decade of the People’s Republic of China and founded by Mi Gu (米谷, 1918-1986), then art section head of the Shanghai Edition of Liberation Daily (解放日報). The magazine opens new perspectives on visual culture, propaganda, and everyday life.
