The World Scholar’s Cup, what is it?
~
An academic competition founded by Daniel Berdinchevsky, it is held all around the world every year. The idea behind the World Scholar’s Cup was to create something different than traditional academic competitions and conferences: a celebration of the joy of learning, a tournament as rewarding for the team that came in last as the for the team that came in first, an enrichment opportunity that motivated students not just to demonstrate their existing strengths but to discover new ones. ~
So, what’s so special about WSC?
~
Each year, we go to different countries to participate in this competition, even Yale University in the US. Joining this, you get to know your schoolmates better by teaming up with them and competing with teams from all round the world in Collaborative writing, Scholar's Bowl and team debate. In the progress, you can make friends from across the globe in the Scavenger Hunt and the Scholar's Ball. Many which you might still contact after competition!
But of course, most importantly, you get to adopt an adorable alpaca in each round. (The mascot of WSC and the adorable animals in the above picture.)
