【王毅同拉脱維亞外長布拉澤通電話】【Wang Yi Has a Phone Call with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže】
9月14日，中共中央政治局委員、外交部長王毅應約同拉脱維亞外長布拉澤通電話。
On September 14, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone call with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže at the latter’s request.
布拉澤表示，拉中剛剛共同紀念建交35周年。多年來兩國保持良好務實合作關係，在聯合國安理會等多邊平台也有很好的協作。期待與中方進一步加強溝通交流，推動雙邊關係不斷向前發展。
Baiba Braže said that Latvia and China have just jointly commemorated the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Over the years, the two countries have maintained good practical cooperation and have also had sound coordination on multilateral platforms such as the UN Security Council. Latvia looks forward to further strengthening communication and exchanges with China and continuously advancing bilateral relations.
布拉澤表示，近日33名拉脱維亞公民在尼泊爾和中國西藏自治區泥石流災害中失聯。災害發生後，感謝中方所做通報和搜救工作以及對失聯人員家屬的誠摯慰問。拉方願同中方加強溝通協作，共同做好後續工作。
Baiba Braže said that recently 33 Latvian citizens went missing in mudslides in Nepal and China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. After the disaster, Latvia thanked China for its updates and search and rescue efforts, and for its sincere condolences to the families of the missing. Latvia is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with China to jointly carry out follow-up work.
王毅表示，尼泊爾一側突發冰岩崩引發泥石流災害，給中國西藏吉隆縣造成重大人員傷亡和失聯。拉脱維亞是失聯人數最多的歐洲國家。面對這一突如其來的悲劇，謹再次向拉方特別是失聯人員家屬表示誠摯慰問。中方對中外人員一視同仁，全力以赴開展救助。我們將盡最大努力繼續搜救拉方等外方失聯人員，妥善做好後續處置。
Wang Yi said that a sudden ice-rock avalanche on the Nepalese side triggered mudslides, resulting in heavy casualties and people going missing in Gyirong County, Xizang, China. Latvia is the European country with the largest number of missing persons in this disaster. In the face of this sudden tragedy, I wish to once again express sincere condolences to the Latvian side, especially the families of the missing. China treats Chinese and foreign nationals equally and has made every effort to carry out rescue operations. We will make the greatest efforts to continue searching for missing Latvian and other foreign nationals and properly handle follow-up matters.
王毅表示，中拉雖相距遙遠，但兩國人民傳統友誼深厚。中國是最早承認拉脱維亞獨立的國家之一。建交以來，兩國始終平等相待，相互尊重，保持關係平穩發展。中方對拉方實施單方面免籤體現了對拉方的信任，兩國人員交往更加頻繁，務實合作不斷拓展。中方願同拉方一道，以建交35周年為契機，為中拉關係不斷注入新的時代內涵。
Wang Yi said that although China and Latvia are far apart, the two peoples enjoy a profound traditional friendship. China was one of the first countries to recognize Latvia’s independence. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have always treated each other as equals, respected each other, and maintained steady development of relations. China’s unilateral visa exemption policy for Latvia reflects its trust in Latvia. People-to-people exchanges between the two countries have become more frequent, and practical cooperation has continued to expand. China is ready to work with Latvia to take the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to continuously add new dimensions to China-Latvia relations.
