Pakistan Muslim League N Hong Kong organised a successful program commemorating Pakistan Resolution Day and celebrating Eid Milan Party at the Pakistan Club, Yau Ma Tei. The event brought together community leaders, professionals, and distinguished guests in a spirit of unity and festivity.
The program was presided over by Chairman PML-N Hong Kong Mr. Javed Iqbal and President Mr. Saleem Arshad Khan, with proceedings conducted by General Secretary Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Khan as the emcee.
The evening commenced with Tilawat-e-Quran by Chief Imam of Hong Kong, M***i Mohammad Arshad, followed by a heartfelt Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool recited by Qari Sabir Hussain Sabri.
The Guest of Honor, Deputy Consul General of Pakistan in Hong Kong and Macau Mr. Amjad Ahmed, graced the occasion and appreciated PML-N Hong Kong for organising such a meaningful event. In his speech, he highlighted the historical importance of Pakistan Resolution Day, reminding the audience of the sacrifices and vision that led to the creation of Pakistan. He praised PML-N Hong Kong for uniting the community and promoting Pakistan’s positive image abroad, noting that such programs elevate Pakistan’s dignity and showcase the voluntary spirit of PML-N Hong Kong’s leadership.

Mr. Saleem Arshad Khan delivered the welcome speech, reflecting on the historic significance of Pakistan Resolution Day. He recalled how the Lahore Resolution was introduced at Manto Park in 1940, laying the foundation for Pakistan’s creation, and how Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah worked tirelessly to turn that vision into reality. He paid rich tribute to Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his leadership and service to Pakistan, and to Chief Minister Punjab Mohtarma Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her transformative development work in Punjab, noting how she is reshaping the province and advancing progress. He also acknowledged the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, praising his role in safeguarding Pakistan’s security and stability, and highlighting how the combined efforts of political and military leadership are vital for Pakistan’s strength and unity.
Mr. Amjad Ahmed, Deputy Consul General, emphasized the importance of Pakistan Resolution Day as a reminder of unity, sacrifice, and struggle. He praised PML-N Hong Kong for its voluntary efforts in serving the community and for successfully organizing such a dignified program that strengthens Pakistan’s image abroad.
Mrs. Anila Mushtaq paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and Chief Minister Punjab Mohtarma Maryam Nawaz Sharif, highlighting her leadership and commitment to addressing women’s issues and rights.
Mr. Javed Iqbal delivered the closing speech, thanking all participants and emphasising the importance of unity and collective responsibility. He reflected on the spirit of the Pakistan Resolution and how Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership turned a dream into a nation. He paid tribute to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their vision and leadership, noting especially Maryam Nawaz’s transformative development initiatives in Punjab. He reminded the audience that PML-N Hong Kong’s members are volunteers working for the betterment of the community in Hong Kong, not for electoral gains in Pakistan. He invited everyone to join in the cause of strengthening Pakistan’s image abroad and serving the community with dedication.
Before the cake cutting, a heartfelt dua was performed by Dr. Jamal Nasir, adding a spiritual and dignified conclusion to the formal proceedings.
The program concluded with a cake cutting ceremony followed by a grand dinner reception, leaving attendees with a sense of pride, unity, and celebration.
