HONG KONG SAR โ€“ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), joined Philippine food and beverage exhibitors at HKTDC Food Expo PRO 2026 from 13โ€“15 August 2026. Led by Vice Consul (Commercial) Eric C. Elnar, PTIC-HK visited the Philippine Pavilion to meet participating companies and support their efforts to bring Philippine food products to international markets.

Facilitated by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong (PCGHK), the Philippines successfully presented a premium selection of products to international buyers from four companies, including Kokomojo Mango Farm Corp., Kitzsteinhorn Food Products, McNester Food Products, and The Pitstop Restaurant.

Philexport Southern Tagalog Region IV Association Inc. (PhilSTAR) also actively participated in this year's HKTDC Food Expo PRO, showcasing seven premier companies under its banner: Aco Delish Corp., Brics Resto Bar, Blessed Harvest Marketing, Pacific Roots, Fresh Q, Sagada Coffee Community, and Chirmi International.

The three-day food expo offered an opportunity to discover a diverse array of food and beverage products. It provided an invaluable one-stop professional business platform that helped F&B industry players explore new global market opportunities and forge stronger commercial connections.

Established in 2009, Premium Hong Kong Foods Co., Ltd. specializes in Southeast Asian imports. Boasting a robust network of high-quality suppliers, the company manages an extensive portfolio of over 1,500 SKUs of 500 products across 20+ brands. Elnar, paid a courtesy call on Consul General of the Philippines to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), Hon. Romulo Victor M. Israel, Jr. and key officials of the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong (PCGHK) on 3 August 2026.

During the call, VCC Elnar highlighted PTIC-HK's upcoming projects for the second half of 2026 and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with PCGHK to advance the countryโ€™s economic diplomacy initiatives.

As the new head of PTIC-HK, VCC Elnar is mandated to promote Philippine trade and investment opportunities across both Hong Kong and Macau SARs.

A seasoned trade diplomat, VCC Elnar brings extensive global experience to the post.
