打書釘的講題為「Expanding the Horizons: A Library Goes Beyond its Four Walls」,內容涵蓋了圖書館的使命與願景,以及各項計劃。
After spending two days visiting cultural spaces in and around Seoul, our third day at Next Library Satellite Seoul has officially begun, with Nose in the Books continuing conversations with fellow librarians from around the world.
Our co-founder, Dr. Chloe Lai, shared the stage with librarians from eight other cities to discuss how libraries operate, innovate, engage communities, and overcome challenges. Titled “Expanding the Horizons: A Library Goes Beyond its Four Walls,” the talk covered our mission and vision, as well as our various programmes.
Exchanging ideas with these fellow librarians allowed us to learn from their diverse experiences. For example, how the Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Library in Vancouver, Canada, designs a classification scheme for its Indigenous collection; how the City Library in Nuremberg, Germany, endeavours to create an inclusive music library; how UK library networks promote greening in and around libraries; and how the Blueberry in Berlin, Germany, connects with young people through its outreach programmes.
The sharing was inspirational and truly lived up to the spirit of “Ignite Talks,” serving as a powerful testament to the impact libraries can have across cultures and communities.
