Mondays at the Nest usually look a lot like life in most other families. Busy mornings, shared meals, school routines, laughter, a little chaos, and so many meaningful moments in between.

As we start a new week, we are thankful for the privilege of creating a place where children can feel safe, loved, and at home. Thank you for being part of this story and for helping make this home possible through your prayers and support.

Praying your week is filled with joy, peace, and reminders of God’s faithfulness for each of us.

Last month, two churches from Texas came to host our annual women’s conference. It’s a beautiful time of worship, prayer, and encouragement. But they didn’t stop there!

They cleaned,
organized,
played with the kids,
and poured into our staff through equipping and care.

Beyond all that, their care extended to nourish our hearts and spirits in gifting “LOVED” Bibles to our staff, children, and missionaries. Each Bible was filled with underlined Scripture, notes, prayers, and personal encouragement.

God continues to amaze us through the teams He brings and how He uses them to meet needs so personally. Thank you to all who have come to serve. If God is prompting you to bring or join a mission team, email us at [email protected] or send us a direct message!

📚Yesterday we celebrated International Book Day. It was so much fun. Our teachers did an amazing job of helping create excitement for books and reading and making books come to life.

📖📝Here, especially in the more rural and indigenous areas, illiteracy is common. And here books are scarce.

🏠Homes have very few books.

🏫Our school library is basically one bookshelf for 187 students. But kids are growing in excitement to borrow books, and both in the children’s home and the school we are emphasizing and prioritizing reading!

🐭👑This FUN day of dressing up like characters and dramatizing books went a long way to creating more excitement for reading and learning!

🙏And what can be more important than reading? God gave us His Word, the Bible to know Him. So join us in praying for growing literacy and a growing love for learning and reading, but MOST importantly PRAY for us, missionaries, staff, children, and surrounding community, to have an insatiable hunger to read the Word of God and to KNOW Him

💖Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed an influx of new children into the Home, and most of them have been girls.

Tiny baby girls, busy toddler girls, and even one of our older girls who has returned to the Nest once again.

Each one carries her own story, her own needs, and her own journey toward healing.

Would you join us in praying for these precious girls as they transition into the Home? Pray that they would feel safe, deeply loved, and gently restored as the Lord begins healing the wounds and traumas they carry.

If you would like to support these girls or have any questions about giving opportunities at Eagle’s Nest, email 📧 us at [email protected] or send us a direct message.

✝️ Jesus lives, He has risen! ✝️

Sunday evening we celebrated the Resurrection.

📖 We read the story and talked about how Jesus lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again so we can have a relationship with God and eternal life.

🤍 Each child wrote their name on a white heart, took their black heart off the cross, threw it away, and replaced it—such a beautiful picture of new life in Christ.

They loved being wrapped in white, a reminder that through Jesus, we are made clean and become children of God.

🍬 We ended with a sweet treat, celebrating that the tomb is EMPTY!

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6

At the Children’s Home we are taking this week to intentionally remember and talk about these last days of Jesus’s life.

🥖🍷On Wednesday night at church, we talked about the last supper with an emphasis on the foot washing. What a radical King we have! Jesus intentionally, humbly stooped low to wash His disciples feet. His way is that of serving.

And then the next morning we talked about the happened if of today, Good Friday. Jesus, our Lord, again chose humility even humiliation. He was PERFECT yet He WILLINGLY suffered and died on our behalf. No one understood. Everyone was left waiting until as we know Easter will come and Resurrection!

🤍But with the children, each got a tiny white heart, they wrote their name, and we explained that even one speck of black, one tiny sin, and we need a Savior. But, the reality is our hearts are covered in black, full of sin.

🖤So they colored their heart black, taped them to the cross, and then… one by one we wrapped them in a black coat and told them by name that Jesus died for them.

🙏Many of us have heard the events of this week so many times. We pray for ourselves and for you, that the Gospel would be FRESH and ALIVE to us today.

📖 Matthew 20:26
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

There is no greater joy than watching someone accept Christ as their Savior and publicly declaring their faith through baptism.

We have been honored to witness God’s transforming work in the life of this beautiful young woman. Her life story has been so hard, and yet God has been WITH her from the very beginning working His rescue plan in her life. It’s hard to put into words the joy we feel.

The lyrics of this song come to mind as a beautiful expression of where she has come from and what we declare as true over her.

“I will change your name
You shall no longer be called
Wounded, outcast, lonely or afraid
I will change your name
Your new name shall be
Confidence, joyfulness, overcoming one
Faithfulness, friend of God
One who seeks My face”

Within the past couple of months we have witnessed transitions for 3 boys in our care.

The youngest boy was adopted, and the two older boys have been reintegrated back into their families.

Adoption is a beautiful celebration, and reintegration is a step that calls us to trust God. We choose to trust that healing has taken place and that each family will continue moving forward in safety, stability, and love.

“For He is a father to the fatherless… God places the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:5–6

Would you join us in praying for each child and their family during this time of transition? Your prayers mean more than you know. 🙏

If you have questions about these boys or any other of our kids, feel free to email us at [email protected] or send us a direct message.

There is something so sacred about watching a girl step into the young woman God created her to be. 💛

In the coming weeks, three of our girls will celebrate their quinceañera! It’s a beautiful milestone marking their 15th year, filled with joy, dignity, and hope for the future. For each of them, this moment represents more than a celebration… it’s a testimony of how far they’ve come and the love that now surrounds them.

Where there was once uncertainty, there is now confidence.
Where there was once lack, there is now provision.
And where there was once brokenness, God is writing a story of restoration.

“𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆; 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝑶 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓." Psalm 138:8

We want to honor these girls in a way that reminds them they are deeply valued and beautifully seen. Their dresses, the celebration, and every small detail are part of telling them: you matter.

If you would like to be part of making this day unforgettable, we invite you to give a special gift toward their quinceañera dresses and celebration. Every contribution helps create a moment they will carry in their hearts for the rest of their lives.
